So, I'm after a generic driver to download - but I don't want to give my computer an STD trying to find a genuine driver.Ĭan anyone recommend a trusted driver/source?Įdit: Bluetooth trouble shooter (correctly) says that there is no Bluetooth on this device, please install an external Bluetooth device - which is what I'm trying to doĮdit edit: neither the device nor booklet have any branding whatsoever. I've tried plugging it in to both the Computer directly and the USB hub. When checking the Bluetooth settings, there is no on/off switch, Bluetooth is not enabled and in device manager I cannot see a generic Bluetooth option - even when checking "view hidden devices". When I plug the USB adapter in, nothing happens (no USB device detected sound.) It seamlessly gets plugged into a computer/laptop without blocking surrounding USB ports. Highly Portable BTD-400 is highly portable due to its petite dimensions. My motherboard/PC does not have Bluetooth at all. The Kinivo BTD-400 Bluetooth USB Adapter lets you communicate wirelessly with Bluetooth devices such as cell phones, PDAs, mice, keyboards etc. It comes with drivers, but they're on a disc - and I don't have a disc drive. I've got a cheap generic USB Bluetooth adapter. Title pretty much says it all, but for clarity: Update: tried a 3rd USB port and boom, it sprung to life.
